Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public broad access to many nonexempt court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In Owsley County, the Circuit Court Clerk handles Circuit and District Court case files. The County Clerk handles land records, recorded wills after probate, motor vehicle records, elections, and marriage-license services. The Sheriff and Jailer handle law-enforcement and custody questions. State systems such as KYeCourts, ePay, KOOL, and the Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics add more routes.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
